Mother’s Day is bittersweet for me because in 3 days it will mark 10 years that I lost my mother on that very day. While I enjoy celebrating my motherhood with my family, there is always a huge part that is missing. I know my mother would never want me to be sad so I try to stay happy and positive about the day.

It’s a momentous milestone when your child graduates from college. My daughter (my oldest) graduated from college as a double major, so she earned 2 Bachelor degrees. That was a proud time, but she didn’t stop there. She continued her education and we are getting ready to celebrate another graduation. Graduating with honors and a 4.0 GPA she will receive her Masters in Public Administration.
What’s more impressive, is she started a 6 week internship with an agency (will not give the name to protect her privacy) soon after starting school. They were so impressed with her work in those few weeks, they never let her go. She will be hired full-time in an executive position after graduation! She has been working for them full-time and going to school at an accelerated pace. It makes me really proud that she could do all that and maintain her honors status. She is also going to be receiving some very impressive awards from the university in her field of study which is really exciting.
When you think about the work and sacrifice that is put into earning a college, masters, or higher degree, you want to make sure that you honor the graduate and also their achievement. As we draw closer to graduation season, graduation gifts are a topic of interest. A few weeks ago the little ones and I began to add Spring and Easter bedtime story books to our routine. Experiencing an Arctic blast here in the Northeast, I found it very promising to read stories about springtime. Many of the stories were about bunnies, ducks and the rebirth experienced each spring.

WWE superstar Randy Orton isn’t a stranger to WWE Films and this June he’ll be hitting Blu-ray for the sports entertainment company in the action thriller 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded. This is the second installment in the franchise. The first 12 Rounds film was released in 2009 and starred WWE superstar and Heavyweight Champion John Cena. Orton, a former WWE Heavyweight Champion himself, takes over the lead role in the sequel.
Before his big screen career, Randy made his debut in WWE back in 2001. Orton is the youngest wrestler to become “World Heavyweight Champion” at the age of only 24. He has also won World Tag Team Championship teaming up with Edge. This Legend Killer is also winner of 2009 Royal Rumble. Randy was the Ex-Member of group Evolution which consists of Triple H, Ric Flair and Dave Batista.
John Cena

He’s part wrestler, part rapper. And he’s successful in both endeavors, cutting rap tracks and winning several titles in the ring, including the WWE Championship. Jesse “The ‘Governing’ Body” Ventura has enjoyed a long and varied professional life as a wrestler, a Navy diver, and a successful politician. Ventura’s acting career is nothing to turn your nose up at either. First appearing in 1987’s Predator alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, he later went on to star in a number of genre films like Guardian of the Universe, DemolitionMan, Repossessed and teamed with Arnie again in The Running Man and Batman & Robin. Ventura made a memorable cameo as a “Man in Black” in the popular X-Files episode “Jose Chung’s ‘From Outer Space.'” After his stint as the governor of Minnesota, “The Body” returned to acting (kind of) in 2005, lending his voice to an unseen motivational speaker in Johnny Knoxville’s The Ringer.
