Vitamins Baby, Blankie Buddy Review and Give away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

VB logo_300x200.JPG
I was recently sent a Blankie Buddy for review from Vitamins Baby. As soon as the box was opened, my older boys handed it off to my 7 month old and they have been fast friends since! This Blankie Buddy is a small lamb with a blanket like body, it is so cuddly soft, and my baby loves to play with, and snuggle it. It is the perfect size for babies, and is easy to hold. I love for my kids to have a blanket or stuffed animal for security, and this little gem is kind of two in one! I think it’s just adorable, and it doesn’t hurt that my baby loves it! The body and filling are made out of 100% cotton and machine washable. Blankie buddies come in a variety of different animals, and in boy, girl, or gender neutral versions. Vitamin Blanket Buddies are perfect for baby shower or newborn gifts, both babies and moms will love them!

I am delighted to announce that Vitamins Baby is providing a set of Blankie Buddies for a give-away on Mommy Ramblings! VIOlight Zapi pop Toothbrush Sanitizer Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

Your Toothbrush Cleans Your Teeth. What Cleans Your Toothbrush?

A single toothbrush can harbor millions of microorganisms, which translate into harmful bacteria — bacteria that thrive in the warm, moist environment of the average bathroom. VIOlight stops these microorganisms dead in their track. Independent studies prove that the patent-pending VIOlight system eliminates up to 99.9% of bacteria that thrive on your toothbrush. That’s millions of microscopic bugs that can cause flu, colds and other illnesses, zapped in minutes!

Just thinking about what could be growing on our toothbrush is gross. Exposed toothbrushes are a magnet for germs in the bathroom. With the Zapi toothbrush sanitizer, you can store your toothbrush and eliminate germs at the same time.  Germicidal UV light automatically eliminates up to 99% of bacteria in just minutes.  Just insert your toothbrush, press the button, and the zapi does all the work for you! Germicidal UV technology is proven to eliminate strep, e.Coli, salmonella, and other organisms.

The CDC says that even after being rinsed visibly clean, toothbrushes can remain contaminated with potentially pathogenic organisms. The Zapi gives you peace of mind that you toothbrush is as clean as can be.  They have so many great styles and colors to choose from that you are sure to find a unit that makes you smile.  So easy to use, just insert your toothbrush, push the button on the front and walk away.  The Zapi will automatically turn off in 7 minutes and store your squeaky clean toothbrush until you use it again.  Works with all toothbrushes and electric heads.

39DollarGlasses.com Review, Give-Away & Discount Code!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I was recently asked to do a review for 39DollarGlasses.com.  I don’t wear glasses, but my husband does.  My husband wears contacts during the day but switches to glasses in the evening.  He complicates things even more, by having an astigmatism and wearing Transitions Lenses.  When he gets his glasses through our eye doctor, it is quite a hefty bill, so we were intrigued to see how 39DollarGlasses.com would fare.  We ordered the first pair, but when we got them he felt a bit dizzy because the frame and thus the lenses were small and so with the Transitions Lenses, it was not great.  No problem though, 39DollarGlasses.com has a worry free guarantee.  They took that pair back and we ordered a larger frame and received it promptly.  These glasses were much better and I no longer have dizzy husband.  The quality is good and there is a wide selection of frame styles and colors to choose from.

The company is owned and operated by 2 eye doctors.
*They are totally AMERICAN made (all others get their glasses made in China) so their quality control is superior.
* Fast turn-around time and (if you have an emergency) they do offer next day glasses for a little extra.
They ship FREE to all of our active service men and women no matter where they are serving!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         And as for their kid’s glasses:

*They use only shatter-proof polycarbonate lenses with UV protection and scratch resistant coverings on ALL kids glasses.
* Polycarbonate lenses are the #1 recommended lens for kids by all doctors.
* Since the owners are both eye doctors (and fathers themselves) they know the importance of protecting children’s eyes.
* All other eyeglass companies make you pay extra for this protection and if you don’t know enough to ask for it you are putting your child’s eyes at risk.
39DollarGlasses is NOT willing to allow any child have anything less than shatter proof glasses.
* EVERYTHING they make (kids and adults) is made here in the USA. Their quality and durability standards are more stringent than non-USA laboratories.
* They also understand that children can be finicky when wanting a style of glasses. That is why we have a huge selection of stylish frames to make most kids happy!

I am happy to let you know that 39DollarGlasses.com is sponsoring a give-away and discount code to Mommy Rambling’s readers.  One lucky blog reader will receive one pair of prescription glasses or sunglasses (up to $75.00).  The discount code is RAMBLE and will get you 10% off your order.  Thank you 39DollarGlasses.com for the review glasses and for sponsoring this great give-away and discount code.  Open to US and Canadian Residents.

Dearfoams Tweed Boot Review & Give-Away!!! 3 Winners!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I remember my first pair of Dearfoam slippers, so many years ago.  They were the quilted booty slipper that was so popular then. Dearfoams has come a long way since they began, and this season they have something totally new.  Dearfoams is  introducing their new line of tall fashion boots, that will extend Dearfoam’s comfort and warmth into a new genre of footwear.  They have two great styles and I chose the tweed boot in black to review.  I received them recently and they are so comfortable and warm.  I like that it has a sole because as a Mom, I am always having to run outside or hop in the car and these are great for that.  My 2-year-old likes to pet them, silly boy.  Today the weather has turned considerably cooler and I have been rockin’ these boots all day and my feet are cozy and warm. I absolutely adore that they are machine washable.  The foam cushioning is like walking on a cloud.  Can you tell that I like these?

The Original Butter Bell® Crock Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

The Original Butter Bell® crock is a modern version of the authentic French beurrier. Made from high quality, durable New Bone China, the Butter Bell crock safely keeps butter at room temperature — on the counter or tabletop — without spoilage, refrigeration or odors. Through the study of traditional and historical butter storage methods, L. Tremain has recreated and improved this natural method of preserving the creamy texture and delicate flavor that makes butter the most desirable and most-used spread in the world.

The Butter Bell crock’s innovative design keeps butter at the perfect “spreading” consistency by reflecting outside heat while insulating and cooling the butter. Flavor and freshness is protected by an airtight seal of water at the base of the crock. For more information on how the Butter Bell crock works, click to see video .

The Butter Bell crock also allows for more measured control of butter application. In other words, you use less butter without sacrificing flavor — important for today’s health-conscious consumers.
We are big fans of spreadable butter in this house.  We keep our stick butter for baking and cooking but we buy those little tubs of spreadable butter with olive oil and canola oil for the kid’s toast, bread and waffels.  I was very intrigued when I saw that the Butter Bell Crock will turn a hard stick of butter spreadable and that it can be stored and kept fresh right on the counter.  I was asked to do a review and I gladly accepted.
When I received my Butter Bell Crock I washed it and then I filled it with 1/3 cup of cold water.  I then took a stick of butter out of the refridgerator and put it in pieces in the bell of the crock.  I then fitted the lid back on and left it on the counter all day.  Late in the evening I opened the crock to find that the butter was cool and perfectly spreadable.  I showed my husband and he thought it was pretty neat.  After seeing this for myself I think this is a great item that is really cost effective because it is cheaper to buy the stick butter and make your own spreadable butter.
The Original Butter Bell® Crock comes in so many different colors and styles. I am really excited to let you know that The Original Butter Bell® Crock is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win their own Original Butter Bell® Crock, in the style and color of their choice.  Thank you  Original Butter Bell® Crock for the review crock and for sponsoring this great give-away on Mommy Ramblings!!!  Open to US Residents.

Pearls conform to the body while holding their healing temperatures for the doctor-recommended time (15-20 minutes) for optimal theraputic benefit. Freeze or microwave. Non-toxic and reusable. I was recently sent a few TheraPearl products for review.  I have to tell you these packs were kind of addictive to just rolling through your hands, right out of the package.  I received a Sports Pack, TheraPearl Pals Pig and Frog.  These packs can be heated in the microwave for hot pain relief or frozen.  I froze our packs, and it was not long before one of our little ones had a boo boo.  This cheery little pal brought a smile to my child’s face just upon seeing it.  Then, the cool pack provided great relief of his pain.  My kids liked these pals so much that on a hot day they would take one out of the freezer and just lie down with it.  They have been well used and still going strong.  Not long before sitting down to write this review, my son came in with the Frog Pal explaing he had hurt his finger.  TheraPearl has a great variety of sizes and shapes.  I would really like to try the eye mask.

Ollie & Bess Swing Dress Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I recently had the opportunity to choose an outfit from Ollie & Bess to review. I chose the adorable little swing dress with an orange and white circle pattern and navy ribbons! The style of this dress is so cute on little girls, and the colors are vibrant, I love the pattern! My little niece was the model for this dress and she looks absolutely adorable in it! I love how the straps are adjustable, so it fits her now, and will still fit her when she gets a little bigger! The fabric feels sturdy and should hold up nicely to her playing, and if she gets it dirty, it doesn‘t require anything more special than a cold water wash in the machine!!
Ollie and Bess Apparel was created by a mom who had a hard time finding traditional quality clothing for her daughter. All their material is hand-picked and made in the USA! They have a great line of high quality, classic children’s wear for both girls and boys. You also have the option to have your purchase monogrammed!
I am very pleased to let you know that Ollie & Bess is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win the outfit of their choice (subject to availability).  Thank you Ollie & Bess for the review dress and for sponsoring such an adorable give-away on Mommy Ramblings!!!  Open to US Residents.

Circle of Friends, Lice Defense Family Kit Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I know the topic of lice is gross.  We never want our kids to get them.  We all know the feeling, your child comes home with a letter from the school nurse telling parents that lice is going around.  They give you some info, and just thinking about it, you start to itch.  Thankfully, I have never had to deal with my children getting lice and I hope I never will.  Circle of Friends has some great products to help keep things that way.  I was recently sent their Lice Defense Family Kit which includes, shampoo, conditioner, hair spray and styling gel.  These great products help keep lice and other insects from your child’s hair and scalp naturally with their unique blend of Tea Tree, Andiroba and Lavender oils. They also added Vitamin B-5 and glycerin to hydrate and soften your child’s hair.

Keeping the Bugs at Bay
When it comes to head lice the solution is usually focused on harsh, unpleasant treatments that
must be administered to children after the lice come home. But Circle of Friends is shifting the
focus to prevention. After all – isn’t preventing lice in the first place the most desirable option?
Introducing Lice Defense Shampoo and Leave-in Conditioner, a powerful – yet gentle duo that
deters lice naturally, leaving little noggins squeaky clean and insect free.
Tea Tree, Andiroba and Lavender Oils are the key ingredients that keep lice way safely and
naturally. Lemon Peel Oil acts as a natural cleanser, while Vitamin B-5 and Glycerin hydrate the
hair leaving it soft, manageable and free of tangles. And unlike those harsh, stinky and irritating
chemical treatments, with Lice Defense parents and children will actually enjoy bath time thanks
to its kid-pleasing lavender scent.

Usage
Use Lice Defense Shampoo several times a week when an outbreak of lice has been discovered in
your community until the outbreak is under control. It is gentle enough to use daily if preferred.
Spray Leave-in Conditioner on hair (wet or dry) each morning. The fine mist will coat the hair and
provide an extra lice deterrent. Lice do not like hair that has product on it, especially when that
product is infused with tea tree oil!

1. Back-to-school is when head lice are most commonly transmitted.
Failure of inspection and prevention in August to November can lead to
widespread infestations by December and January (University of
Florida).
2. There are 6 to 12 million cases of head lice in the United States
yearly, with an estimated 12 to 24 million days of missed school
(Medscape Medical News, 2006).
3. Treatment costs may vary from $20 for over the counter products
like RID Shampoo, to $200+ for a lice removal service.

Lice Facts
1. Lice are most often spread at schools, child care centers, slumber parties, camps, little
leagues (shared batting helmets) and playgrounds.
2. Children should avoid head-to-head contact with other children and should not share
hairbrushes, combs, hats, helmets, pillows, sleeping bags, etc.
3. Lice live exclusively on humans; they cannot be transferred to pets or vice versa.
4. Lice are not a sign of poor hygiene — they can be a problem for children of all ages and
socioeconomic status.
