When I was recently asked to select something from Milano Series to review, I was blown away by their selection of bags, umbrellas, frames, travel bags, accessories and so much more.  I finally chose the Quilted Diaper Messenger Bag in green with bronze strap.  It came, and I really love this bag.  I am a big fan of a big bag because I carry a lot of stuff with me wherever we go.  This bag can handle it all, and what I really like is that it does not scream, “diaper bag.”  I mean, if I took this with me on a weekend trip even without the kids, it looks sassy and smart.

This diaper messenger bag is perfect for the hip mom on the go. It is stylish yet extremely durable as it is made of a high quality polyester. It features a beautiful and intricate quilted pattern. It measures 13.5 inches x 5.5 inches x 13 inches. The adjustable strap goes from 29 inches to 54.5 inches. One flap partially covers the front of the bag and is secured by two velcro strips. The front of the bag has a zippered pocket, two open pockets, and 2 open side pockets.  The bag has an interior insulated pocket designed to hold a baby bottle. One thing I knew had to be in our house when we built it, was a woodburning fireplace.  I love the coziness a roaring fire brings to a Fall or Winter evening.  We needed a new set of fireplace tools, so when Plow & Hearth asked me to review something, I knew what I wanted. They have such a great selection of fireplace tools and accessories it is hard to choose.  I finally picked the solid steel fireplace crest tool set with wrought iron hearth stand in black.  It arrived the other day, and we could not wait to try it out.  Nothing to put together so you do not have to worry about handles that screw off or become loose.  Everything was ready right out of the box.  My husband loves it, it is super quality and looks great on our hearth.  Best of all the tools are very comfortable in your hand and work well.  The log tongs are great for repositioning or to use when putting in a new log.  The poker is super solid and the shovel and broom make cleaning up a breeze.  I love the stand itself with the ball finial on top.  This tool set is available in copper or black and makes a great gift.

Betty Lukens, Learning Fun with Felt Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I remember as a child seeing high quality felt sets on pre-school shows like Romper Room, and teachers using them in the classroom. They were always a favorite of mine.  They were so hard to find, and I remember the kind of felt sets that were available at major retailers had much to be desired.  Most of the time they consisted of a tiny paper thin board with a piece of green felt on it and some felt shapes in different colors.  When I connected with Betty Lukens, and saw the felt sets they sell, I wanted them all.  She asked me to pick some products to review and I chose The Four Seasons, Fun on the Farm and Carville.  It was so hard to pick because they have such a wide selection of great play sets.  When they arrived, I was even more impressed.  They are so well made, the playsets come in a plastic tote that will hold the board and all the pieces for easy transport and storage.  I really like that I can teach my kids with these playsets and they can play themselves as well.  It is a great, quiet activity that stimulates little minds and is perfect for travel, eating out or just winding down at the end of the day.  These sets allow your child to be the storyteller and be creative or Mom and Dad can tell the stories. There are so many ways to use these playsets, and they would be great for teachers and in the classroom.  The Carville mat is so much fun and can be used indoors and out.  It is even machine washable, so let the kids have a great time.
