We love the Recaro brand for car seats and we have 2 ProRIDE convertible car seats by Recaro that my kids use everyday. I recently had the chance to choose a Recaro car seat to review and I chose the Recaro Performance SPORT Combination Harness to Booster Car Seat. Both of my little ones are peanuts and lightweights, so they are fine in the ProRIDE convertible car seats,but I figure at some point my older son is going to move to the booster and this booster seems perfect. I like that it has a secure harness that is easy to buckle him in and out of, the seat is really nice and comfortable and easy to clean fabric is used. I chose the Knight color style because I think it goes well in my car and will not show dirt or soil easily.
The seat is very supportive and comfortable with memory foam in the seat that’s great if my son falls asleep on long trips. This seat has impressive side impact protection that is designed to distinctly protect 5 vulnerable areas of a child in a side impact collision – their head, neck, face, torso and pelvis. The color coded belt guide makes it easy to find the proper path and positioning of the LATCH strap or vehicle seat belt whether used in harness or booster mode. The 5 Point Harness and head restraint are adjusted together so no re-threading is necessary to properly position the harness shoulder straps to your child. The one-of-a-kind racing-inspired white stripe, clearly visible on the outside edge of the 5-point harness, alerts parents to improper harness alignment. There are mesh stretchable pockets on each side that can hold toys or sippy cups. It is easy to attach in and out using my latch system in my van and I feel good knowing my son is in such a safe seat. Learned it is important to replace your car seat after a vehicle crash. A crash can cause unseen damage and using the child restraint again can cause serious injury or death. I also like this in the sapphire color.

I decided to get a Recaro car seat since my 9 month old is growing out of her infant seat. I learned that you don’t have to re-thread the harness to adjust it, which is awesome!
I have the ProRide convertible seat and was looking for options for my older child as his younger brother moves out of his infant seat. We have the ProRide Convertible seat and are looking for the next step. Naturally, we were looking at Recaro as the Pro Ride has been amazing for our little guy. We actually have one of these on order, but we need two as we have twins! I love all the colors and these are the ONLY carseats my father-in-law will let us buy as he is an accident reconstruction specialist… meaning, he sees the aftermath of car accidents and wants his grandkids as safe as possible!
Not sure what else I can learn from their website as this will be the 4th of theirs we’ve owned! I’d like to know what exactly is the HERO technology though, I couldn’t find an explanation.

I love the Recaro car seats, the padding is easy to clean and keeps cool in the Texas heat. Although bigger then other carseats, it is safety that matters.

I learned about the harness system that prevents straps from twisting. The HERO system seems like a very good idea, especially for me active toddler.
My special needs grandson is 3 but barely weighs 25 lbs. He doesn’t want to ride in a “baby” seat since his 5 y/o step brother gets to ride in a “big boy” seat. This would solve that problem. I don’t think he would throw such a fit about having to use the ‘straps’ instead of a seat belt with this seat. Also the memory foam would make a much more comfortable ride.
I love the side protection for more than just the head. My little one needs that chest protection for his delicate heart. Interesting how the company has developed over the years from airline seats, racing seats and into child protection seats. Also the depth of the base of the seat is still acceptable for vehicle seats even with all the other safety features built on top.

The performance ride also looks like a great seat but I love the features of the sport. Some things i learned about it are it has enhancing memory foam “this is awesome” . In booster mode it goes up to 120lbs, I would have this seat for ever as my little guy will just be in the 30lb range. Fingers crossed I would love this seat, grat safety features. We just bought a second carseat for the husband’s vehicle, and I see our carseat has a rear-facing child weight limit starting as light as 5lbs! That means this next bundle of joy due on Christmas will happily ride along side his brother in a Recaro seat as well as his first car ride! =)
I love that Racaro Car Seats are built with superior protection technology. Nothing makes a mother more comfortable then knowing that their child is safe! I am paranoid when it comes to driving or being in a vehicle, so having a car seat that is safe makes me feel better. My boyfriend loves Racaro and has been talking about buying one for a while. Now that our daughter has outgrown her infant car seat, it’s time for a new one. I chose Recaro for my nephew because I had it with my daughters already they’re protected since day one . I can’t look at any other car seats the way I experienced safety of Recaro child seats, the engineering and comfortable it is. The recaro performance sport accommodates children up to 120 pounds, the straps adjust automatically when the headrest is adjusted, meaning much less fiddling and peace of mind. It fits really snug using the latch system and the memory foam ensures comfort particularly on long journeys where children can sleep comfortably. my son loves his race car seat, I wouldn’t trust any other brand!

I have been wanting to get one of these for the past 3 weeks or so. Just haven’t had the money with the holidays coming. Actually was going to use tax money to purchase. It would be great to win one for my daughter. Been looking for a booster that will keep her in the harness for as long as possible. She knows how to unbuckle the cars seatbelt so we cant use a reg belt positioning booster and she thinks its funny to take her arm out of the strap. Good luck to me!!
