This week, Anchor Bay Entertainment released the DVD of the new animated feature film, The Littlest<\/strong> Angel<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0A colorful adaptation of\u00a0the\u00a0\u00a0fifteenth best-selling children\u2019s book of all time,\u00a0The\u00a0Littlest\u00a0Angel<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0takes us on a rousing adventure with a young, and sometimes mischievous,\u00a0Angel, who must return to earth and earn his wings, a task that doesn\u2019t prove to be easy.\u00a0Experience\u00a0the\u00a0love, laughter and magic of one of\u00a0the\u00a0most popular children\u2019s stories of all time.\u00a0From\u00a0the\u00a0classic book by Charles Tazewell, comes this lively CGI animated version filled with both humor and heart.<\/p>\n

I was thrilled to receive a copy of this great DVD from Anchor Bay Entertainment. \u00a0The\u00a0Littlest\u00a0Angel<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0tells\u00a0the\u00a0story of a young boy who arrives in heaven before his time.\u00a0\u00a0Home-sick and lonely, he will travel back to earth, with his friendly pup Halo, to retrieve a most selfless and precious gift for\u00a0The\u00a0Baby Jesus. First released in book form in 1946,\u00a0The\u00a0Littlest\u00a0Angel\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>became popular for its ornate words and phrases paired with beautifully muted oil paintings. Tazewell\u2019s book was adapted into a TV musical in 1969 starring Johnny Whitaker, and theatrical versions continue to be done by schools and church groups today.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a modern twist on\u00a0the\u00a0timeless tale of an\u00a0Angel\u00a0that discovers\u00a0the greatest gifts in life are faith, friendship and doing\u00a0the\u00a0right thing.
