Boy, were my kids excited when we received a big box from Melissa and Doug<\/a> the other day. \u00a0It was chock full of Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch Seaside Sidekicks sand toys<\/a>. Today, while the little one and my husband were off on errands, Ethan and I decided to take everything for a test drive at the sand table. \u00a0We received four great sand play sets:<\/p>\n

What fun, now you can make cupcakes at the beach or sandbox. \u00a0This great 12 piece set includes cupcake pan, hard plastic cupcake liners, cup cake topper molds, hinged cupcake mold, icing tool for decorating and a mesh bag to hold it all. \u00a0 This set was so much fun, we made cupcake after cupcake, topping them with the different shaped molds, using the hinged mold to make free standing cupcakes and just having a blast.<\/p>\n

2. Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch Seaside Sidekicks Sand Baking Set<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

This sand baking set includes 3 nesting shell shaped measuring cup scoops, crab mixing spoon, octopus whisk, mixing bowl and turtle sifting top. \u00a0Everything stores in the mixing bowl and the turtle sand sifter doubles as a secure top. \u00a0This set is loads of fun. \u00a0We scooped up sand with the shell shaped measuring cups added that to the mixing bowl, gave it a stir and a whisk and we were ready to fill the cupcake liners. \u00a0Ethan loved filling the spoon and measuring cups and releasing them in his hand. \u00a0He was so proud to have made little cakes he could hold. \u00a0We also talked about the different sizes of the measuring cups and which holds the most and other learning concepts.<\/p>\n

This bright colored crab sand pail and crab sand scoop are great fun. \u00a0Crab bucket has a super sturdy handle for carrying loads of sand, shells, or both. \u00a0Crab scoop allows you to get large amounts of sand in one scoop. \u00a0Perfect for sand castle building or just plain digging in the sand.<\/p>\n

4.Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch Seaside Sidekicks Sand-Molding Set<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

This great set of molds provides hours of fun. \u00a0From a large turtle to a small seahorse you will have fun filling, smoothing and unmolding these molds. \u00a0Set includes turtle, fish, crab, starfish and little seahorse that all nest and store inside the turtle.<\/p>\n
