I know we recently celebrated the fourth of July and costumes may not be in the front of your mind, but I was selected to review a woman’s costume from Costumes Supercenter and I would like to share with you.  I let my daughter choose and she picked theTic Tac Toe costume.  It is a fun looking costume and so I let them know our choice.  It arrived super fast and since my daughter is working on a project several states away I needed to send it off to her.  She is very happy with her choice and found that the quality was very good.  She also liked that it was a different sort of costume from the typical and that really appealed to her.  Costumes Supercenter has a huge selection of women’s costumes and the hard part will probably be in deciding which costume to choose.

If my husband saw one of those blood pressure machines in the pharmacy or Wal-Mart, it was like a magnet, he had to sit down and take his blood pressure. He does not and never has had high blood pressure so where this compulsion came in, I really don’t know. It was just one of those things with him. Anyway, he started asking me to review a blood pressure home device and since I was dealing with a company that manufactures them on other reviews, I figured it would not hurt to ask. When it arrived my husband was thrilled but the real test would be in how well it worked. He quickly unpacked it, read the directions and tried it out. The result was that he loves this compact kit. I was wondering if it would be accurate since it measures your blood pressure around your wrist. It is very accurate and our blood pressure on the monitor correlates with what we have read at the doctor’s office. Super easy to use and fast this monitor allows my husband his blood pressure fix anytime he needs it. It gives you a very visual color reading as well to allow you to see in a moment if your blood pressure is normal, prehypertension or hypertension level.  You also get a pulse reading, auto irregular heartbeat detection and a push button that allows you to average blood pressure readings. Best of all, I can’t remember the last time he stopped to use one of those other machines in the store.

I have very long hair, and I am also a mom, so you can imagine that I have to put my hair up most of the time. If I leave my hair down, it is constantly being pulled on, getting in my way, and usually getting tangled. Shutter Huggers Review and Giveaway!!!

Nautilus, CoreBody Reformer Review & Giveaway!!!

I would bet that you all know just how important your core is to your body.  A strong core is the foundation of your body.  Pregnancy and childbirth can really rock your core and not in a great way.  Getting that strong core back is key to looking and feeling better.  When you workout though you want to see results all over, a total body workout.  That kind of workout makes one think that they would need bulky gym equipment in their home or have to trek to the gym and so many times especially as busy moms we just don’t have that time.  Wouldn’t it be nice to have something compact, light, easy to store, that had everything we needed all in one piece of equipment.  Well, look no more, The CoreBody Reformer from Nautilus is here!

I was recently sent a CoreBody Reformer to review.  I was amazed at how light it was and just how simple it was to get started.  All I needed to do was to push the button on the top, twist and pull out the bar and support legs.  Then just lie the body on the legs, place the bar back in the slots on the top and screw and secure the top back.  The resistance is controlled by the push buttons and is super easy to set.  When both white buttons are out, that is the lowest resistance, for medium, push one of the buttons in on each side and for the most resistance push both in.  The unit comes with a DVD with four workouts, go anywhere fitness flip cards and a schedule to start you on your way.

I could not wait to give it a try and I enjoyed it so much.  The express workout is only 20 minutes but you will feel great after it.  I loved the trainer because she was not a drill sergeant and really told you to watch your form more than reps because just doing multiple reps if your form is off does not help.  She performs the routines with two others who demonstrate variations for beginners and advanced.  By the second day I was upping the resistance and could see in one day that I was ready to try more complex moves. It is fun and I like that I think almost anyone can do the exercises. I am so happy to be able to get a full body workout right in my family room with a lightweight piece of high quality equipment that can just be picked up and put in a hall closet or that can be easily packed and carried anywhere so you can workout outside, take it with you on vacation and weekend trips, even camping and never have to miss a workout.
