Faber-Castell, Creativity For Kids, Monster Truck Custom Shop Kit Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I was recently asked to choose a Creativity for Kids kit to review from Faber-Castell.  They have a great selection, but with a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old, who are crazy for monster trucks, I chose the Monster Trucks Custom Shop.  This kit comes with 4 different monster trucks and includes stickers and paint to customize them.  When my kiddies saw the box, we could not open it fast enough and they did not want to wait for paint to dry, so we skipped that and used the neat stickers.  I think the paint would be great for older kids to use and they would understand about letting it dry.  The stickers are a great option for toddlers and pre-schoolers and are easy for them to apply with Mom and Dad.  With that done you are ready to pull them back and let them go.  Watch them speed off, race, roll and flip.  My little ones liked recreating scenes they saw at the Monster Truck show they saw at the county fair this summer.  This is a great gift idea for any little boys on your list this holiday season.  In fact, there is a Creativity for Kids Kit to delight just about every child on your gift list this year.  Give them a gift that lets the show off their creative side.

I recently received a box of assorted chocolate smothered pretzels from Asher’s to review.  I really like chocolate covered pretzels, something about the sweet and salty taste that is so delicious.  My teenage son got into these before I even did the review.  He thought they were pretty good and thankfully left some for us to try.  The pretzels are covered in thick dark or milk chocolate and are absolutely delicious.  I would like to do another taste test but they are all gone, they were that good.  Asher’s is a generations old family business and you will find that their many delicious confections would make great gifts this holiday season.  Who doesn’t like chocolate?

Jax LTD, Over And Out & The Game of Chips Review & Give-Away!!! 3 Winners!!! {Give-Away Ended}

My Camera Couture DSLR Fashion Camera Strap Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

My Camera Couture, designer, Julia Kozak, has spent her life creating colourful but practical objects. Her in-house studio is filled with textiles, yarns, papers, paints, beads and found objects of all colors and textures. She takes particular satisfaction from redesigning a purely utilitarian object into a work of art that inspires even as it performs its task.

Her business, My Camera Couture, grew out of her love of photography and frustration with the starkly utilitarian designs of camera accessories.  Her line of camera straps and accessories allow the creative photographer to express their own sense of style without sacrificing functionality.  All pieces are handmade in her smoke-free studio when she’s not chasing her two young kids and two Elkhound dogs.

Julia sent me two great looking camera straps to review.  As many of you know, my camera is always with me, and mostly around my neck.  The black camera strap with my camera’s name on it, just does not suit my personality and I adore dressing up my camera with great straps.  I love the two straps she sent me and I want to tell you about them.

The Floral Gold on Fuchsia  SLR and DSLR camera strap is new for the 2011/12 season and features a delicate floral pattern woven in metallic gold on a hot-pink background. It reverses to solid black so you’re getting two straps in one! This strap is equipped with 3/8″ quick-release attachment straps, allowing the strap to be switched easily to match your mood.   This strap is really pretty and really stands out with the hot-pink background.  It is a sassy and stylish strap that is very comfortable and very secure.

The Pink Tropical Punch strap is new for 2011/12 and features a bold floral pattern on one side and “Capture Everyday Life™” on the other. It is equipped with 3/8″ quick-release attachment straps.  This is a funky strap that is great for where I live, right near the original Woodstock Concert Site, which is now the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.  Great for me to wear when I go to the  Harvest Festival and concerts up there.  This is a great strap that gets tons of compliments and is super comfy and secure.
