Our Thoughts:

We recently received this newest Chuggington DVD to review and my boys just adore it.  If your little ones are fans of the Chugginton Series, they are in for a real treat.  The DVD has a bonus feature of coloring and activity sheets that my boys just love.  The episodes are great because they reinforce the importance of helping your friends and teamwork. This is a very good series for preschoolers and young children to show them good values and morals in a way they can easily understand.

Kane Miller Book Publishers, Market Day! Book Set Review and Giveaway!!!

I recently received the Market Day! Early Learning Book Set from Kane Miller Book Publishers for review.  This set includes four, 12-page board books that come in a carrying case that doubles as a foldout play set.  The play set can be used with the punch-out characters that are in the four books.  Each book covers a different early learning topic; colors, shapes, opposites and numbers.  The books are colorful with adorable artwork and rhymes that are fun to read.  This set makes a great present for toddlers and preschoolers.  This is such a great set, and I love board books with little ones because they really hold up to little hands who are sometimes less than gentle when looking at books.

Piyo Piyo 4 Stage Training Cup Set Review and Giveaway!!!

I was recently sent a Piyo Piyo 4 Stage Training Cup Set from the Tung Ling Co. for review, this training cup comes with one cup, and 4 different stage tops. The tops can graduate with your baby, instead of having to buy a whole new cup. All of the lids have their own dust-proof covers to keep things clean as well as a watertight ring to keep liquid from seeping out. The cup has handles to make it easy for baby to hold onto.

This is how the different lids work: When your baby is small, about 3 months old, you start with the silicone nipple top, which is spill proof, for his or her milk. When it is time to move onto a sippy cup, you just need to switch out lids to the second stage soft, T.P.R. duck-billed cup lid. The third stage is a lid is also spill proof with a silicone straw attached, to teach baby to drink without having to tip the cup. Lastly, the fourth stage has a wide rim top with a 3 mode flow controller to help teach your baby to eventually drink from a normal cup. The flow controller keeps him from drowning himself on the first attempt!

I think this cup is pretty ingenious, it allows baby to learn and master drinking from the different stage lids. Having all of the lid types available from the get go, you can introduce the different lids at your and baby’s own speed and switch back to the lower stage if he can’t seem to master the later stage lid yet. No need to have to wash several cups while having him try out the lids, just wash the top. None of my older children used a trainer cup lid to teach them to drink out of a normal cup, so they were always making huge messes. But my youngest, at one year, actually had fun trying out this stage 4 lid, he still got wet, but not to the epic proportions my older did.  He was giggling and smiling the whole time, he loved being a big boy, and when I tried to take it away, he got mad at me!
