Rubbermaid, New 2 in 1 Recycler Review and Giveaway!!!

I was looking for a better set up for recycling when I was contacted by Rubbermaid about the opportunity to do a review for their new 2 in 1 Recycler.  I gladly agreed and was excited for it to arrive.  I really like that this 2 in 1 is so versatile.  You can use the top for recyclables and the bottom for trash but we choose to use both for recyclables since we are a large family, we need the room.  The lower bin tilts out for easy access and holds an 8 gallon trash bag in place with the Liner Lock system.  The bins have handles and can easily be taken out and carried when full.  If you are looking for a recycler with options that is easy to use, clean and empty then you need to look at the Rubbermaid New 2 in 1 Recycler.

Howard B. Wigglebottom Learns About Sportsmanship: Winning Isn’t Everything Review & Giveaway!!!

Spring is here and it seems kids everywhere are starting t-ball and baseball season.  It was very applicable when I received Howard B. Wigglebottom Learns About Sportsmanship: Winning Isn’t Everything hardcover book recently, to review.  My 3 and 4-year-old were so excited for me to read this book to them.  I really love the lesson this story teaches, and it has turned into my 4-year-old’s favorite book and a must read every bedtime.  This book really conveys an critical message to little ones about the importance of being a good team player and showing good sportsmanship.

Howard B. Wigglebottom Learns about Sportsmanship

Howard B. Wigglebottom just has to win everything and once when he came in second place the threw a temper tantrum and kicked his second place trophy.  We then learn how he is a ball hog and will even cheat his friends to win a game.  At the soccer finals he really loses it and trips players, hogs the ball, calls the players on the other team bad names and talks back to his coach, which lands him on the bench.  While benched, Howard sees an angry dad in the crowd yelling at the referee. For the first time he imagines that is what he must look like.  Howard feels horrible, he does not want to be like that angry dad who ends up escorted out of the game.  He tells his coach this, and begs to be put back in the game where Howard has a chance to score the winning goal he instead passes the ball to his team-mate and his team-mate misses the goal and the other team gets the ball and scores, winning the game.   Still, Howard was not mad and gladly accepted the second place trophy, shaking hands with the winning team.

Start to Finish Children’s DVD Review & Giveaway!!!

I think most parents want to make sure anything their children are watching is educational and fun.  I recently had the chance to review a DVD in the Start to Finish Series.  The DVD features Whoops and Bubbs and encourages children to explore the world around them.  Most kids love finding out how things are made and this DVD gives kids a behind the scenes look at how milk is produced on a dairy farm, how applesauce is made, a trip to the firehouse and how pizza is made by taking them right to the source in real footage.  My kids just love this stuff and it is so educational.  Watching this DVD with your kids opens up so much dialogue and really gets kids and parents talking and listening to each other.  If you are looking for a great DVD to do more for your kids then just entertain them, you need to take a look at the Start to Finish Educational DVD series for children.
