SmartScoop® Self-Scooping Litter Box Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

We have a Pixie Bobcat named Max.  Max is the most affectionate and cuddly cat I have ever seen.  He wants to be with us all the time and we will often have to claim our space back or Max will take over.  Max is great with the little kids and they can do whatever with him and he just tolerates it.  He is a great cat so when I had the opportunity to review a self scooping litter box for Max, I was ecstatic.  I was asked to review the SmartScoop Self-Scooping Litter Box.  It arrived and my husband put it all together and we tried it out to see how Max would like it.  He loves it and so do we.  Cleaning is a breeze and that makes everyone happy.  SmartScoop is motion activated so once the cat leaves the litter box, an internal timer will count down for 15 minutes, allowing for the clumping process to take place.  The waste unit will then move, raking the clump forward and into the waste tray.  The waste unit will then return to its original position for the next time the cat uses the litter box.  You will now spend less time scooping and more time with your cat.

BSW Toy Inc.,Dinosaur Shrinky Dinks in 3D Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I remember Shrinky Dinks when I was little so when I was asked to review them, it sounded like fun.  We chose the Dinosaur Shrinky Dinks in 3D.  My little ones are a bit to young for this since it requires intircate tracing, coloring and cutting so it is best for older kids.  I did the coloring and cutting and my little ones were happy to watch.  I colored a few pieces with colored pencils and then outlined the pieces with permanent black marker.  Then I cut them and put the pieces on a piece of aluminum foil with the edges turned up to make a tray and placed them on a cookie sheet and in the oven.  Then the kids really had fun watching how fast they shrink and then lay flat.  It happens within 1-3 minutes so you do not leave the oven and watch the whole time.  After we took them out they were cool and ready to assemble very quickly.  This is a great craft idea for kids and there are so many themes to choose from.

FANSHOES Womens and Childrens Rain Boots Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

Straight out of the package Luke just loved Tobbles.  He stacked, he wobbled, he twisted, he nested and found great ways to arrange the Tobbles. He played and played and later when his 4 year old brother saw them he played with them until bedtime.  There is something strangely addicting about this design-savvy toy.  I have to admit I was playing with it myself after they were in bed.

STEP2 Art Desk Easel Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I was recently sent a STEP2 Art Desk Easel to review.  This new STEP2 product will be introduced in the Fall.  We opened the box and laid out the pieces for assembly.  There were a few little hitches along the way, we were shorted a few screws but STEP2 had them overnighted to us and the screw for the easel clip did not seem long enough because when we would lift the clip it would come unfastened. My husband used a larger screw and a washer and was able to make it work well.  Other than that assembly was quick and easy and the kids were using it in no time flat.

With 2 little ones who are always doing things together this dual sided toy works well.  One can be at the easel and the other on the desk. The desk top opens to store craft supplies and papers.  The kids loved the marker holder and were very happy to keep returning their markers to the holder when done.  The dry erase boards on the desk top and easel are easy to erase and clean.  Sitting and coloring at the desk was comfortable for both of my children.

ICE POP JOY by Anni Daulter Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

Perfect time for this give-away during our recent heatwave.  I received a copy of ICE POP JOY to review.   This great book has oodles of recipes for organic, healthy, fresh and delicious ice pops.  I really love these recipes because we are big VitaMixers in this household and it is so easy to puree the fresh fruits and herbs into delicious ice pops that are loaded with nutrition and free of sugars and preservatives.  I grow all my own herbs and a lot of our veggies so when I saw that the strawberry lemon ice pops used fresh mint, I knew it would be the first one to try.  Prep was so easy because of our VitaMix you can throw the strawberries in whole with the tops, squeeze in the lemon juice, throw the mint in like it is and add water, ice and honey.  I debated putting the honey in at all because my kids drink smoothies without any sweetners and love them.  Since it was only 4 Tbsp. and I wanted to follow the recipe, I did, but I think the next time I will try without and see if there is any real difference.  I put in some extra sweet mint and these pops were so refreshing, the kids little and big loved them.  My oldest daughter must have consumed at least 4 of them herself.  The recipe said it makes 6 pops but I added some larger quantites and ended up with 8 pops and six or seven 3 0z. Dixie cups of pops.  I apologize for the huge popsickle sticks in the Dixie cups but I went to several stores and they were all out of the regular size.  Guess between summer kids crafts and ice pops they could not keep them in stock.

Daylight Ultimate Table Lamp Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I was sent an Ultimate Table Lamp from Daylight to review.  This great lamp is so useful for crafting.  The large magnifying glass and the chartholder clip both on adjustable arms are handy for painting small things, making jewlery, scrapbooking, bead work, sewing, and so much more. Fun on the Farm John Deere DVD Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

We live in the beautiful mountains of upstate NY.  Real farm country and my kids love the John Deere tractors they see all over.  From our own John Deere to all of the larger tractors on the farms all around us, they just can’t get enough.  I was thrilled,+ when I was told I would be reviewing a John Deere video from TM Books & Video.  It came the other day and I think it has been on more times that I can even count.  Needless to say it is a big hit with my little guys.  This Fun on the Farm DVD is educational fun for kids 2-6.  35 minutes of learning about where food comes from, the growing season, tractors, combines and lots of farm animals.  It shows how John Deere combines are made, takes you on a trip to the Farm in the Zoo at Lincoln Park in the middle of Chicago.  Great songs that will have your kids singing and dancing along with the video.  We liked this DVD so much I ordered 5 more in the series.  They are fun and educational and I feel good about my kids watching them.
