Sili Squeeze Review and Give-away!!!

Babies are messy when they eat, it’s fun for them, but it is impractical to let them make messes in the car or on the go! I received a Sili Squeeze a short time ago from The Sili Company, and it is quite ingenious! This dishwasher safe Sili Squeeze is like a bottle, with a soft, nipple like spout, but the body of it is made out of squeezable, 100% BPA and phthalate free silicone. This allows a baby to feed himself pureed foods like applesauce or yogurt through the spout without making a big mess! Made to do what babies reflexively and naturally do: squeeze things with their hands!

I never thought at 9 months, my baby would be able to feed himself, mess free! He and I are in love with the sili squeeze! He seems to like the independence of being able to feed himself, and figured out how to use it right away with no problems! It is soft and easy for little hands to hold and squeeze. I love how the mess is contained without me having to help or clean up! All I have to do is fill it up with yogurt, hand it to my baby and he happily squeezes away, eating his breakfast with ease! I am able to leave him at it, and go take care of other mommy responsibilities!

We think the Sili Squeeze would make a great stocking stuffer for your baby, so we are adding it to Mommy Rambling’s 2011 Holiday Gift Guide!

The Sili Company is graciously sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings. One lucky blog reader will win their own Sili Squeeze!! Thank you to The Sili Company for this fantastic review Sili Squeeze and give-away!!!  Open to US residents.

Zkano Organic Cotton Socks Review & Give-Away!!!

At Zkano, each men’s, women’s and kids’ sock is knit with certified organic cotton at their family mill in Fort Payne, Alabama. Zkano is  proud to continue a legacy of quality craftsmanship, tailoring designs equally toward style, durability and comfort.

Recently, I received an assortment of kids’ and womens’ socks to review. They felt great, nice and thick and super soft.  The kids socks had left and right markings on the top.  This is a great way to help your kids learn left and right and is just something we thought was really fun. The socks are nice and thick and keep your feet toasty warm.  I love the knee socks I was sent both for the comfort and warmth as well as the fun style and color.  The flat seam toe construction makes the socks very comfortable and they are very durable which with kids, is great news.  If you are looking for quality socks for your family made with organic cotton, then take a look at Zkano.  Zkano carries socks for kids, women and men in lots of great styles and colors.

Nexxus Salon Hair Care, Pro-Mend Products Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I was recently sent some Nexxus Salon Hair Care products to review.  I received Pro-Mend Split End Treatment Daily Shampoo, Pro-Mend Split End Binding Daily Conditioner and Pro-Mend Split End Binding Targeted Leave-in Treatment Creme.

The daily shampoo prepares split end prone hair for repair by gently cleansing away damaging impurities and build-up, while providing the vital nourishment hair needs.  This shampoo works great and leaves my hair soft, strong and super shiny.  It smells great and contains coconut oil, Keratin and Jasmine flower extracts.

The revolutionary daily conditioner, works to target and bind 86% of split ends back together in just three washes.  The conditioner works by using a proprietary ProMend Technology that contains a unique complex of positively and negatively charged polymers, which first stick to negatively charged hair and then stick to each other to bind the ends together for true repair.  The conditioner has a unique texture that feels and performs unlike any other conditioner to target and repair split ends. Using this conditioner daily quickly repairs split ends and leaves my hair beautiful, strong and healthy. This great smelling conditioner contains rich coconut oil, Keratin and Jasmine flower extracts.

The daily leave-in treatment creme, targets split end problem areas and binds 92% of damaged hair together in just one use.  This leave-in treatment creme works by the principal of the Proprietary ProMend Technology like the daily conditioner does. This creme provides daily repair to split ends, using it will make your hair feel and look like it has been freshly cut.  This great creme leaves the ends of my hair looking beautiful healthy and strong.  The leave-in conditioner also contains coconut oil, Keratin and Jasmien flower extracts and smells wonderful.  All you need to do is apply a nickle size amount to the ends of your hair and style as usual.

Mommy Ramblings thinks these products are a great way to pamper yourself this holiday season and have you hair look its best.  We are adding it to our 2011 Holiday Gift Guide under Products to Pamper Yourself and Your Family This Holiday Season.

Buckalope Elementary, “Career Day” DVD Review & Give-Away!!! 3 Winners!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I was recently sent the pilot episode of new educational puppet series for kids ages 5-10.  Buckalope Elementary, explores different aspects of character building, and each episode presents a different character trait, with the overall intention of giving kids a set of tools that will help motivate, coach, and guide them early on as they begin their educational journey.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVXnCN1kkNA&feature=youtu.be]

The Buckalope Elementary, “Career Day” episode introduces the program’s environment and its characters.  As an elementary school class (of puppets) explores its own individual career interests and talents they discover not only a whole world of possibilities but a new-found passion for learning.

This very unique, entertaining and educational DVD has three acts:

Act One: The teacher uses an awkward moment when one of the students is late to class to bring up his topic for the day, “Careers.”  As the class explores the meaning of the subject, they all share what they want to be when they all grow up, which we find entails some aspect of fame.  The teacher then decides to sing them a song, to show them “what is all out there.”  By the end of the song, the entire class is excited to learn of all these possibilities, and begins to explore their curiosity on the subject.

Act Two: Takes place at recess, where the kids are all playing on the playground.  As one of the characters displays their basketball talent, another kid reveals her lack of self-esteem and expresses her belief that she “isn’t good at anything.”  All of the other kids gather and try and convince her she “has to have some kind of talent,” through a series of questions and introspect, she realized she does.  Eventually all the kids join in on a song, where they all figure out their own individual talents.

Act Three: The teacher introduces the Magicboard to the class, and uses it to assist the kids in choosing a career for their career day project and presentations.  They all speak their talents and interests to the Magicboard, and it gives them each a list of careers that go with those criteria.  They then dress up and present their careers to the class, and reflect on what they learned from the project.  Finally, the teacher sums up what they learned by singing a song on the value of learning.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlklOxhHusY&feature=youtu.be]

Even though my little ones are younger than the recommended age, they still love this DVD.  The puppets and singing really engages them.  This is really a very educational video and would be great in the classroom as well as the home.

Buckalope Elementary is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  Three lucky blog readers will win their own copy of this DVD.  Thank you Buckalope Elementary for the review DVD and for sponsoring this great give-away!!!  Open to US and Canadian residents.
