Paul The Male Matchmaker!!!

I would love to share with you a hysterical new show called “Paul The Male Matchmaker.”  Paul, just inherited a matchmaking business from his aunt Cathy.  Paul is desperately trying to make a go of this business on his own terms.  Paul is married to a wealthy woman named Terri and has started numerous businesses that flounder, the custom butter business almost broke even, but didn’t.  Paul does try to hone his skills as a matchmaker and calls upon several professionals including the Millionaire Matchmaker, the ladies who wrote “The Rules” and the authors of “He’s just not that into you” among others.  The episodes are hilarious and they do contain some language that may be offensive to some but not an overwhelming amount by any means.  Paul fumbles through many of his own matchmaking fiascos, like equating the movie Speed, where Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock fell in love in a terror filled situation to his theory that fear can make you fall in love.  He goes so far as to set a prospective couple up at a restaurant and have his staff charge in with face masks and machine guns as terrorists to see if his theory works.  It does work but in a way he did not expect.

In season 1 Episode 3 Jillian played by Lisa Edelstein seeks out Paul’s advice on how to get back into the dating world after being in a 4 year relationship with her ex boyfriend. In this episode Jillian gets matched up with a “dummy” for a date.  Considering some of the stories I have heard from friends, maybe the dummy is a step up from some of the “real” alternatives.  I think we have all been set up at least once with a guy that we just know is not right for us and want to ask Scotty to beam us up out of there pronto. He wanted to give the consumer – that means YOU – the ability to custom lace your kicks in millions of quick and easy combinations. U-Lace will work in nearly any sneaker with eyelets as long as the eyelets are at least 1/8” in diameter. Of course some of the sneakers we see today use loops vs. eyelets and U-lace will not work on those. The good news as that at least 90% of sneakers have eyelets. Installing U-Lace in some sneakers is easier than others but it’s still a snap. You simply pick the color you want and push the aglet thru the eyelet and pull from the other side. Once all the way thru the eyelet just give a tug to lock the aglet against the shoe. Repeat until the sneaker is fully laced.

Shains Recycled Fashion Accessories Review and Giveaway!!!

 

I was recently sent a variety of Shains accessories to review. These rubber bracelets are very supple, comfy to wear and are easily adjustable. Each of the bracelets came with their own sets of elements which were mostly letters with a few pictures. With the bracelet cuff you have two rows in which to write your message, with so much space It can be fun coming up with things to “write” on it.

Even their hair elastics have an insert for an element! The pet collar is great because it is very adjustable, It fit on my small cat, but would still fit on a bigger cat, or small dog as well. I got some cute little pet related element tiles to accessorize with. The elements were very easy to pop in and out of the holes on the bracelets, and you can switch out the letters to make many different names, phrases and simple words that you might like on a bracelet! You can add picture elements to the bracelets along with your phrases as well,  the possibilities are endless.

Kids will love that they can switch the letters out every day to create a new style or note! Shains products are like the new age of letter bracelets for a young one with interests that change fast! I remember making bracelets when I was about 12 or 13, with the name of a band I liked, but after I lost interest in that band, I was stuck with a bracelet I didn’t want to wear anymore! With Shains I could have just popped the letters out and transformed my old bracelet into a talisman of my new obsession. With these cool bracelets and accessories, you can proudly show your support of a cause and look trendy while doing it!

Shains products are all about recycling. Disney, LADY AND THE TRAMP DIAMOND EDITION on Blu-ray and DVD & Special Valentine’s Day Clips!!!

Well it’s Valentine’s Day and who can forget the romantic scene from Disney’s LADY AND THE TRAMP, now available in Diamond Edition on Blu-ray and DVD.

 

In honor of Valentine’s Day and  LADY AND THE TRAMP DIAMOND EDITION on Blu-ray and DVD, Walt Disney Studios has just released a video clip of real dogs re-enacting the famous spaghetti dinner scene in the film.  

I was lucky to receive the Diamond Edition of Lady and the Tramp on Blu-ray Combo Pack for review.  I was thrilled as I cannot wait to introduce my kids to this classic that I have such fond memories of.  I am sure many of you do to, so be sure and pick it up before it goes back in the Disney Vault.  You can buy it HERE on Amazon.com.  Hurry, they are on sale now at Amazon and so are Bambi, The Lion King and more.

Our Review:

I recently had the chance to review the SOUND+SLEEP and I was very impressed.  I have seen clocks and other units  with sounds before but they were very repetitive and annoying, like the same bird chirping over and over.  This unit is not like that, the sounds are realistic and definitely not repetitive.  There is a great selection of sounds and they really are very relaxing.  I love the crackling fire, and I know my niece would have just loved the city sounds when she came up to visit because she had a hard time sleeping without the familiar city sounds.  The white noise is great for babies who seem to sleep better and longer when they are hearing it.  It is a nice size and I like that the speaker is on top of the unit because it fills the whole room.  I find it is even relaxing to have it while working in an office and set it to the crackling fire or the babbling brook and it creates a very nice atmosphere to work in.  If you are looking to get a better nights sleep or for something to just put on to relax or meditate, then check out the SOUND+SLEEP.

Design Hype, Metro Cuff Bracelet Review and Giveaway!!!

It seems as parents one of the things we find ourselves talking about with other parents, is how to keep our kid’s toys organized.  The worst kinds of toys to keep neat and organized are those with many pieces and different sizes.  Legos are lots of fun for kids and a very creative toy but their pieces can be tiny and are easily lost under couches, furniture, or even fall victim to the vacuum. Storing them all in a large tub keeps them contained, but makes it hard to find the different size pieces, and the smallest pieces just seem to disappear.  I was recently asked to review the Box4Blox and I gladly accepted.  The Box4Blox consists of 4 stacking bins and a top.  Only the bottom green bin has a solid bottom, the other three are sifters with a grid on the bottom with different size openings.  The red has the smallest openings, followed by the blue and then yellow.  Using this system will allow you to place Legos in the top stacked bin and gently shake and tilt and the Legos will be sifted and sorted into like sizes.  Now, your child can easily know that the smallest pieces, the little headlights, steering wheels etc. will be in the bottom bin.  The Box4Blox is a great way to easily sort and store your child’s Legos.  Take it from this mom, if you are looking for a better way to store Legos, check out the Box4Blox.
