Vicky Lansky’s Books, 101 Ways To Tell Your Child “I Love You” & Toilet Training (2 books in one) A Practical Guide to Daytime and Nighttime Training Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I recently was sent 2 of Vicky Lansky’s books to review.  The first one was, 101 Ways To Tell Your Child “I Love You”  This book was newly updated and re-published.  This 124 page book gives you lots of cute ideas to use to tell your child that you love them.  It is so important that our children know we love them.   I really like the ideas in this book such as leaving little notes in unexpected places, hanging red hearts in a doorway, making your child a special, welcome home banner on the first day of school and much more.  This book gives you many ways to say I love you to your child other than just saying the three words.  It is so important for our children’s emotional health to let them know often and in many ways how much we love them.  I really think this is a great little book.

The next book is the revised and updated, Toilet Training, A Practical Guide to Daytime and Nighttime Training.  This book also includes a bonus book, Koko Bear’s New Potty, which is a book for your child.  This book covers how to set the stage for toilet training, recognize readiness, choosing a potty seat, dressing your child for success, dealing with an uncooperative child, handling accidents, how to cope when traveling and much more.  The bonus book, KoKo Bear’s New Potty, is a read-together book that is wonderfully illustrated and includes a great unisex story that will help make toilet training easy and fun.

Vicky Lansky is generously sponsoring a give-away here on Mommy Ramblings.  One of our blog readers will win both of these books (3 counting the bonus book.)  Thank you Vicky for supplying the review books and the give-away books.

Vicky Lansky’s Baking Soda and Vinegar Books Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I think now more than ever we are trying to stay away from harsh chemicals and cleaners in our homes.  In Vicky Lansky’s book, “Vinegar: Over 400 Various, Versatile, and Very Good Uses You’ve Probably Never Thought Of”  you will find an abundance of ways to use vinegar as a natural and safe alternative to many chemicals and cleaners.  She tells you how to make a “green” drain cleaner, stain remover, hair rinses and much more.  Vicky also give a lot of background history about vinegar that you probably did not know and is very interesting.

Vinegar is a health remedy, a neutralizer, a cleaner, a condiment, and a preservative. It can kill bacteria, mold, and germs, yet it is environmentally safe. This comprehensive guide covers all types and uses of vinegar, including how to make flavored varieties and using it as the basis for kids’ science projects. A full index and whimsical illustrations make the book informative and fun.
This book seems to go hand in hand with her book about using baking soda for many household tasks and avoiding the toxins present in so many commercial cleaning products.  Vicky’s book, “Baking Soda: Over 500 Fabulous, Fun and Frugal Uses You’ve Probably Never Thought Of” lets you in on so many different ways to use baking soda.  She also gives the reader a thorough history of baking soda that is interesting and informative.
Learn how you can make your own dishwasher soap, use it as a fabric softener, grease cleaners, make kids play-dough and craft dough and so much more.
I learned so many neat tips and tricks through these great books and I cannot wait to use them.  I now see a need for the supersize box of baking soda sold at Sams.  I also think I will be buying vinegar by the barrel.  With kids and animals around I really like these alternative cleaning, cooking, and home solutions that are healthy and work.
Vicky is so generous to sponsor a give-away on Mommy Ramblings for these great books.  One lucky Mommy Rambling’s Blog reader will win a new copy of each book.  Want to enter to win?  Then follow the rules below, open to residents of the US.
