·       Minnie’s Rainbow – After a brightly colored rainbow appears over the clubhouse, Minnie searches for the pot of gold that’s supposed to be at its end. Along the way, she meets a leprechaun and discovers that not all treasure turns out to be as she expected!

·       Minnie’s Birthday – Today is Minnie’s birthday, but the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse friends need to set up her birthday party.

I received this DVD and Digital Copy Combo pack to review.  When I was looking over the cover, my three-year old came up to me and asked, “Can we watch that Mickey Mouse, Mommy?”  How could I say no to such a sweet little one.  My kids love Mickey, Minnie and all their friends so I knew it would be a hit.  I was not wrong, each episode is cuter than the last and all have very important messages that show helping each other and friendship are very important.  If you have little ones in your home that love Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy, Donald and Pluto, they will really like this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD Combo Pack.  Mickey is a great narrator taking the kids through the different episodes and interacting with his audience.  My kids love when Mickey is asking them things and including them in the fun.  Minnie’s Birthday was an episode they especially loved because they thought it was so fun how all the gang was helping baking a cake, decorating and preparing to have a party for Minnie.  Luke loved when the elephant was inflating the balloons with Mickey and Daisy counting them.

I am happy to let you know that Walt Disney Studios is sponsoring a giveaway on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win their own DVD & Digital Copy Combo Pack of I Heart Minnie.  Thank you Disney for the review copy and for sponsoring this great giveaway on Mommy Ramblings!!!  Open to US residents.

It looks like I will be doing a lot of baking this weekend.

I need to do my review on the set of acrylic cookie stamps I received today from Gourmac.  Michael’s birthday is the 13th so that will require a cake and I do have the supplies to try the cake pops again.  Last but not least, I wanted to bake some cut-out sugar cookies with Ethan and Luke for Valentine’s Day.  All this should make for a very sweet weekend.  I will be having another contest for a set of brand new cookie stamps just like the ones that I am reviewing.  They will be sent to the winner direct from the company and I will post rules later.  We still have the “My Little Cupcake Pop Mold” giveaway going on so be sure to get in on that as it ends on the 14th.  I have lots of other reviews and give-aways coming up so stay tuned.

Are you all doing some yummy baking for Valentine’s Day?  Do tell.  Well, I better rest up for my baking marathon.  Have a good night everyone!

Where did the time go? HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUKE JACOB!!!

I cannot believe my baby boy turned two on December 24th.  I cannot believe it has been two years since the icy Christmas Eve that I delivered our miracle.  When I think back to his birth I get chills, and I am so thankful he made it and I do not take any of it for granted.   When his heartbeat started to decrease rapidly and I was just about wheeled in for an emergency C-section to him coming out and being whisked away to the warming table where three nurses worked on him, slapping his little feet giving him oxygen and he was not crying.  The doctor testing the blood gases in the umbilical cord to make sure he was not deprived of oxygen which thankfully he was not.  Not being able to hold him for two hours after his birth while doctors and nurses observed him.  Thankfully about 2 hours after his birth they finally let me hold him.  He nuzzled his little head in my neck and just slept.  He hardly ate, and slept constantly even through blood tests and exams.  He only had a tiny squeak, no crying for this baby boy.  He was just fine everyone assured me, but I needed to hear him cry.  He eventually started to cry and I mean wail just when we were going home.  It was the greatest sound.  Now, my sweet boy talks so much, he is learning his alphabet and singing songs, playing with his brother and doing and learning new things every day.  I know we are so very blessed that Luke was okay, it was a very scary situation at the end and I always refer to it as a traumatic birth.  I look at him many times throughout the day and let him know how much I love him and how badly he scared me.  I am so thankful to see his little smile and that he is such a snuggly bunny and gives me bunches of kisses throughout the day.  My baby is two but he will always be my little baby.

All Aboard!!!

Well, I am no cake decorator.  I find that it is so hard though since Luke’s birthday is Christmas Eve to orchestrate the whole buying a cake.  It is either I have to pick it up ahead of time and put it in the freezer or make a rush pick up and it is so stressful that time of year.  Last year I had a cake made but this year, I was bound and determined to make one. I picked up some really cute 2 year old party wear that was a “Toot, Toot, Two!” theme.  So it did not take a rocket scientist to know that he would need a train cake.  I scoured the net looking for a cake that was doable and not too time consuming.  I ended up winging my own and I am happy with the way it turned out.  It is not something on “Ace of Cakes” or anything but my kids think it looks great and that is all the matters in the end.
