Wonder Forge, Dr. Seuss Fun Machine Game Tiles AppPlay Games Review and Giveaway!!!

If you are looking to add some fun to a game of memory then you will be interested in Wonder Forge’s Dr. Seuss Fun Machine Game Tiles AppPlay Game.  This AppPlay Game comes with the Game Tiles to play three games with an app that you download on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.  I downloaded the app on my iPad and in no time my three-year old and I played a matching game.  With this game you just pull the lever on the machine on the iPad and it comes up with a character, color or shape, you then turn over one of the memory tiles and you will get a match if you match color, character or shape.  You let the game know via the app if you made a match or not and the game keeps track and tells you when the game is over and whoever has the most matches wins.  This app also has two other games you can play with the tiles; Slap Down and Guess-A-Roo.  The app has great sounds and both of my little guys loved it.

The Cat in the Hat is back … with an app! Dr. Seuss AppPlay Games combine the classic fun of tabletop games with the dynamic play power of apps, all served up for iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. Match wits and make match-ups with these madcap mixes of family fun! Sturdy, colorful tiles pack up in a flash for quick bursts of Seuss fun … near, far, or or wherever you are.

Squeem, Miracle Vest Review and Giveaway!!!

Thought I would bring you one of my favorite things and it’s not raindrops on roses but the Miracle Vest from Squeem.  I reviewed this vest last year at  this time and I have to tell you it is a staple in my foundation wardrobe, so much so that this year I chose to do it again since we have acquired so many new readers and I can’t say enough about this vest.

First, I love how easy it is to put on and fasten with two rows to choose from that give you the option of going tighter or looser.  I like how it really gives me the back support I need with having had 2 herniated discs and how it very clearly gives me the sleek silhouette I desire under the clingiest of clothing without being apparent.  I also like that you wear your own bra and that it does not come up in that area.  My problem with many of the shapers are that the ones that are like tanks tend to smush the girls and you then have a binded look where you definitely don’t want it.  I can wear this vest all day comfortably and do not feel restricted in any movements.  It holds up tremendously and I have washed mine a lot over the past year and it is still in top condition.  I was thrilled to receive another as I have said it is a wardrobe staple for me.  If you are looking for a shaper that will really work and make you look your best in whatever you are wearing, you need to try the Miracle Vest from Squeem.

Mommy Ramblings loves this vest so much we are adding it to our 2012 Holiday Gift Guide under the section Products To Make Your Holidays Merry and Bright, because it will help you look great through every holiday event and beyond.  It is truly a gift that keeps on giving all year-long.

Squeem is sponsoring a giveaway on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win their own Miracle Vest in their choice of nude or black and size of their choice (subject to availability).  Thank you Squeem for the review vest and for sponsoring this great giveaway on Mommy Ramblings!!!  Open to US residents.

Wonder Forge, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Who Shook Hook? Game Review and Giveaway!!!

My little guys are not huge board game players.  They are more the action type, but I though the Who Shook Hook? Game from Wonder Forge might slow them down for a few minutes.  This game is easy to set up with just sliding a couple of palm tree trunks in the spaces on the board and adding the palm leave tops and then attaching the hammock.  The trickiest part and I imagine the most frustrating for little ones like my Luke who is younger than the recommended ages would be placing Hook on the hammock and all the treasures around him evenly without it tipping over.  There is a spinner for determining how many spaces a player moves on their turn.  There are four tools that are used to remove a treasure without having the hammock turn over.  If you are looking for a fun game for kids who especially like Jake and the Never Land Pirates.

Captain Hook is snoozing in his hammock, surrounded by all the treasure he’s nabbed from Jake and his pirate crew. Spin the spinner to choose your challenge, then use the sword, the fishing pole, or the shovel to pluck a piece of treasure! But steady as she goes–you need to grab the loot without sending Hook tumbling into the water where Tick Tock Croc awaits. This imaginative, play-packed game is sure to be a hit with clever little pirates.

Promotes:
  • Physical dexterity
  • Strategic thinking
  • Turn-taking and playing together
Product Contents
  • 2 Palm Trees (2 Trunks and 2 Palm Fronds)
  • “Sand” Base
  • Hammock
  • 3 Barrels
  • 3 Treasure Chests

Challenge & Fun, Balance Board Labyrinth Review and Giveaway!!!

Are you looking for a toy that is well made, will provide your child with the activity they need to develop good balance and coordination.  Would you like something that you could use too for the same benefits?  If so I might have found just the thing.  The Balance Board Labyrinth by Challenge & Fun is great for kids and adults.  Children and adults have so much fun with this balance board that they are unaware of how good it is for them.  While they maneuver the balls along the groove they are developing balance, coordination, determination and patience. Move the balls from the outer circle to the middle, or for a little easier goal…move the balls from the inside to the outside.

Ethan had a lot of fun even though he is younger than the intended starting age, and it did not take long for him to feel more comfortable.  Luke is too little for the leg spread though he did try to give it a go.  I think this is excellent for kids in general, but for those that snowboard or take gymnastics it is a wonderful strengthening  tool for balance and coordination.  Mommy Ramblings thinks this Balance Board Labyrinth from Challenge & Fun  would be great for kids from 6-96 who are on your holiday list this year.  Mommy Ramblings is adding this Balance Board to our 2012 Holiday Gift Guide!

As featured in the 2011 Shape Magazine Holiday Gift Guide!  Made in the USA from durable plywood protected with an attractive laminate.  Can hold adults up to 275lbs.  Kids 6 – 96 will love it!

Challenge & Fun is sponsoring a giveaway on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win their own  Balance Board Labyrinth!  Thank you Challenge & Fun for the review board and for sponsoring this great giveaway on Mommy Ramblings!!!  Open to US residents.
