Saint Patrick’s Day Bamboo Cheeseboard Giveaway

March is the time to celebrate the life of St. Patrick, he is the patron saint of Ireland who helped introduce Ireland to Christianity. I don’t have one bit of Irish in me, but they say everyone is Irish on Saint Patrick’s Day.

I love the way my childrens’ school celebrates St. Patrick’s Day. They have a leprechaun that leaves little clues throughout the school. They go all out on this and the custodial staff joins in. They complain about all the little leprechaun footprints they had to clean up and kids design all kinds of leprechaun traps. My son designed a very clever trap last year with a little cage that dropped down. This is something they really look forward to because no one has caught him yet.

My daughter loves to bake Irish Soda Bread as well. How do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? Do you have any special traditions? Check out the ideas below if you want to try something new.  It contains some fun ways you can celebrate the Shamrockin-est holiday of all!

Hi! Great blog! I’m not Irish but I celebrate with my children for their school. My daughter is in Pre-K and she is Autistic and non-verbal. She is the best! She is sooo happy and she loves animals. Anyway, she doesnt really understand holidays but I made up a bunch of treat bags for her class from stuff I ordered off of Oriental Trading.com. The bags had candy, toys, and crafts in them that were St. Patrick’s Day themed. My son is 11 and is too old for class parties but he did wear green today for school. I remember as a child in kindergarten.. My school had tiny little green foot prints that led from the entrance to our classrooms. I remember eating green cupcakes and doing crafts!! Love memories! I love making memories with my children as best as I can!!

She doesn’t understand holidays but I had so much fun making treat bags for her class. I bought a bunch of cute things from Oriental Trading.com. The treat bags had candy, toys, and crafts in them that were all St. Patrick’s Day themed. My son is 11 so he doesn’t have class room parties anymore but he did wear green at school yesterday. I remember when I was in kindergarten the staff had little green foot prints on the floor from the entrance that led us into our clasrooms! It was soo cute and magical! I also remember eating green iced cupcakes and doing crafts!! Ah! Love the memories and love creating memories with my children!!

I love “make some green treats!” I plan on making some green waffles and cookies with my daughters for St. Patrick’s Day. I also put green food dye in my daughter’s water cup and toilet and pretend a leprechaun has visited our home.
