“The Christmas Humbugs” by Colleen Monroe & Michael Glenn Monroe, Review and Giveaway!!!

We received an autographed copy of The Christmas Humbugs which I guess could become a new Christmas Classic.  It is the story of these little Humbug Creatures who are tiny and green with red and white stockings on their feet.  They pick houses that are filled with joy and slip through keyholes to test the spirit of Christmas.  They are a naughty bunch as they go about ripping holes in stockings, breaking candy canes, eating all of Santa’s Cookies and much more!  When they feel they are through they turn around to look at the havoc they have caused only to discover that the Spirit of Christmas can’t be broken and all is restored as it was.  My five-year old was aghast at what they were doing and asked me if they were going to do that to our house.  Then at the end he felt much better that nothing was ruined.

Details:

Christmas is coming but someone is playing tricks! Torn stockings and broken candy canes reveal that the Christmas Humbugs have arrived at this holiday home. But never fear! Lively rhymes and merry illustrations lift spirits and let readers know that not even the Humbugs can dampen Christmas cheer.
