SPRINGS GETS SWEETER WITH TWO NEW

WHIMSICAL ADVENTURES

Everyone’s Berry Best Friend Returns

in Two Fun-Filled Adventures Just Released on DVD

Strawberry Shortcake is back just in time for Spring and is so sweet you will need two helpings! Touching the hearts of children for decades, this wildly successful franchise is back with two more magical tales, Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Brick Road and Strawberry Shortcake: Bloomin’ Berry Garden, blossoming on DVD March 6 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

First, Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Brick Road follows Strawberry and her friends as they retell the classic “Wonderful Wizard of Oz.” When a cyclone blows Strawberry to the strange land of Oz, she runs into trouble with the Wicked Witch and must journey to the Emerald City to ask the Wizard how to find her way back home.

Next, Strawberry Shortcake: Bloomin’ Berry Garden shows that it’s time for garden growing fun with Strawberry and her friends as they prepare for the Spring Flower Festival! But when magical sparkles make the Berrykins grow tall and the girls shrink down small, they discover that even when they’re tiny, they can make a big difference.

I am excited to offer you this review of the newly released Strawberry Shortcake DVDs, Bloomin’ Berry Garden and  Berry Brick Road! They were about that fun peppy group of berry pretty girls that we all know and love, Strawberry Shortcake and her friends! There are several short stories on the Bloomin’ Berry Garden, the adventures of Strawberry and her friends are all super sweet and colorful. My nieces loved the fun lessons on fixing mistakes, getting along with your friends, and making a difference no matter what size you are! The Berry Brick Road is a fun journey over the rainbow in a berry enchanting retelling of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz! When Strawberry is blown by a tornado to the land of Oz, she meets new friends and runs into trouble with the Wicked Witch on her way to see the wizard for help getting home! Girls that are fans of both The Wizard of Oz and Strawberry Shortcake are sure to love it! I enjoyed watching these movies with my nieces, they were colorful and cute stories. Both DVDs come with fun printable coloring pages!

Strawberry Shortcake asked us to share with you their Desserts for Mommy n’ me! This feature gives kids and their parents many fun and easy Strawberry Shortcake inspired recipes to try out! I checked out the recipes and picked out a couple that I thought the girls would enjoy, so we had a little Strawberry Shortcake party with movies and snacks! The girls helped me make these easy recipes, and they thought it was something to help make yummy berry desserts just like Strawberry Shortcake does! We tried the Berry S’mores and Blueberry Cobbler. They were super easy to make with the girls’ help, and everybody loved them!

Blackberry Cobbler

Blackberry cobbler is an cinch with this easy, delectable recipe! All you need is four cups of fresh blackberries, one tablespoon of lemon juice, one egg, one cup of sugar, one cup of flour, and six tablespoons of melted butter. Start by preheating your oven to 375 degrees. Next, place blackberries in a lightly greased square baking dish, and sprinkle with lemon juice. Stir together the egg, sugar, and flour, and sprinkle over fruit. Next, drizzle melted butter across the topping, and bake for 35 minutes, or until the cobbler is lightly browned and bubbly. Enjoy!

Berry S’Mores

This take on a classic summer treat is sure to please the kids without giving them an insane sugar high! All you need are graham crackers, softened cream cheese and sliced berries (adding in chocolate is optional as these are delicious without it). Just break the graham cracker in half, spread about a table spoon of cream cheese on one side, add some berries on top, and put the other half of the graham cracker on top. Now you have an easy, delicious, healthy s’more to enjoy!
